The Start of An Amazing Trip

You and your friends had decided a weekend escape was long overdue. When someone mentioned a cabin tucked deep in the woods, you barely hesitated before agreeing - no questions asked. The drive started off ordinary, almost dull, until the trees began to crowd the road and the bars on your phone started vanishing one by one. By the time the last signal flickered out, you told yourself it was fine. Peaceful, even. After all, this weekend was supposed to be about getting away… right?

At The Cabin...

The cabin was not what you pictured. Too old, parts of the exterior decaying, its wooden bones groaning in the wind like they remembered every winter that had passed through. Still, you refused to let it sour the weekend. You kept smiling, kept busy, pretending you weren’t listening for something you couldn’t name. Upstairs, you wandered through narrow halls until you found a room of your own, mercifully enough space for everyone to claim their own corner without being forced to share.By the time you regrouped downstairs, the night had softened. Laughter, games, a shared warmth that made you forget that the place was creepy. For a while, it worked. Everyone relaxed or at least tried to.But nothing good lasts long in a place like this. A sudden sound echoes throughout the entire cabin, a sharp, echoing slam that cleaves through the laughter. In the center of the room, a hatch in the floor yawns wide, its hinges trembling as if impatient.

Run away!

Absolutely not. You’re not going down that hatch. Screw this creepy, rotting cabin - you’re getting out.You lunge for the front door before anyone can stop you, but the moment your hand grazes the handle, a jagged rasp of laughter erupts from the open hatch, sounding wild, manic, and inhuman. The lights die, plunging the cabin into a suffocating black.Sharp and panicked screams tear through the dark, chased by the copper sting of fresh blood flooding the air. You tried to run. You thought you could. But leaving was the wrong choice, and now the house will make sure you pay for it.

Into the Unknown

Uneasy murmurs ripple through the room, your friends exchanging glances that speak louder than words. You keep your face steady, refusing to let them - or whatever’s waiting below - see you flinch. The ladder groans under your weight, each creaking rung complaining until your feet touch the cold floor of a forgotten basement. Dust hangs in the air like decaying breath. All around you, relics lie scattered - hundreds of objects, each stolen from a different lifetime. A cracked porcelain doll. A rusted sword. A pocket watch still ticking, though its glass is shattered. So many things to look through. One by one, your friends descend after you, curiosity overcoming caution. They drift through the room, picking up items, turning them over in their hands, as if any of this could be ordinary.
